THE BOOK OF FAIRS

Between 2020 and 2025 I organised eleven thematic fairs at my studio in Campo de Ourique. They were born during the pandemic as a form of resistance and support for a community of artists and artisans, and grew into a creative laboratory — a space of discovery, dialogue and surprise.

The Book of Fairs was born from a desire to counter the ephemeral nature of the fairs, giving them permanence, and to thank the generous community that accepted my challenges and invitations over these years. It brings together memories, ideas and collaborations that marked this journey — and by joining publishing and curating, I want to celebrate not just the close of this cycle, but the energy it generated.

The book will be launched on 28 May 2026 at 3pm, as part of the exhibition A Grande Feira, at Rua Rodrigo da Fonseca 101, Lisbon, during Lisbon Design Week. The launch will include a conversation moderated by Inês Meneses, with artists Isa Toledo and Madalena Parreira (Hunchback Society) — participants in several of the fairs — and Joana & Mariana, who were responsible for the book’s graphic design.
