Following an invitation by Manufactura das Tapeçarias de Portalegre, the exhibition VIAGEM, a dialogue between tapestry and ceramics, was born.
I selected 5 tapestries by the artists Menez, Carlos Botelho, Cruzeiro Seixas, Henriette Arcelin and Emília Nadal and invited Maria Paz Aires, Oficina Marques, Henriette Arcelin, Aramy Machry and Maud Téphany to create ceramic pieces inspired by one of the tapestries.
The five tapestries, the ceramic works and some travel fragments will be exhibited until June 1st in Lisbon at the Galeria das Tapeçarias de Portalegre.
