The same artists, a different place, new pieces. After the first edition in Vila Viçosa last April, INTERWOVEN returns in September, with an exhibition for three days only in a special setting: a 1960s house in Sintra soon to be restored.
Curated once again with the Belgian collective Omarcity, this project brings together nine designers and artists from Portugal and Belgium, working across ceramics and weaving, bulrush and esparto basketry, leatherwork and discarded textiles.
The exhibition presents new collaborative pieces, created specifically for this space, each one made by a duo of makers and bringing two materials and two techniques into a single work. These are shown alongside a selection of individual pieces by each artist.
